THE THAYER HOTEL WEDDING IN THE WEST POINT, NY | DEVON & BRENDON
I had a feeling that I would be seeing a lot of C O L O R this year and Devon's color palette was nothing short of spectacular! When it came to choosing bright and bold blooms, Devon knew exactly what she wanted. Once, she started to piece together a Pinterest board, all the colors seamlessly came together. Not to mention, when the blooms arrived in-house they did not disappoint. I was beyond excited to work with them and as always, Shaina Lee Photography captured them in their most perfect form. They were the most gorgeous vibrant flowers ever!
THE LOVE STORY
Devon and Brendon met in college. Not only were they in the same training group but they had similar majors. Devon didn't get to know Brendon until one of their friends started organizing group outings. They immediately clicked and started dating two months later. Early on, Devon knew Brendon was special. They were in sync on all levels and were committed to one another which is one of their core values. After college, they moved back to the East Coast, and are the absolute cutest together!
THE PROPOSAL STORY
"We were on a trip to Florida for my birthday and it was our last night there. I had broken a 2-night losing streak at mini golf, and Brandon suggested taking a nighttime beach walk but I was "meh" about it. On the beach, Brendon proposed. I forget the entire thing. Notably, I was too busy trying to see the ring to say yes (I'm not good at answering direct questions). One of the most memorable parts, is that my mom texted me about thirty minutes later saying, "Has Brendon proposed yet?" She knew nothing but was eerily accurate."
