A FALL WEDDING AT LE CHATEAU IN SOUTH SALEM | MELISSA & ANTHONY
Melissa Beatty and Anthony Jezycki wanted all the visual aspects of their wedding day to reflect an elegant, rustic style that encompassed the fall season surrounding the Le Chateau estate! With a palette of white and green; and inspired by the crisp fall foliage, their wedding certainly did not disappoint! The Loreta Daka Floral Boutique team created an awe-inspiring fall-themed centerpieces with peonies and branches. To complete the Autumnal wedding look and inspiration, Melissa and Anthony exchanged vows at sunset in the garden. THE LOVE STORY
Way back in 2007, Anthony and Melissa met at Marlboro Memorial Middle School in the sixth grade. Over the course of middle school, the two became friends as kids do; manhunt, camp, and through their weird but wonderful mutual friends. Throughout the seventh grade, Melissa developed a crush on Anthony (which was not reciprocated). By the time the eighth grade dance rolled around, Melissa strapped on her big girl pants and suggested that if Anthony was not going with anyone, perhaps they would go as friends. Anthony mumbled something like "sure" and then immediately the next week, asked another girl to the dance in front of Melissa (yikes) 😬.
Just a few weeks later, at a small gathering of friends hosted at the Jezycki house for MDW '09, Melissa had her friends DARE Anthony to kiss Melissa. That day, Anthony and Melissa had their first kiss in the basement of the Rustic Drive House. Anthony and Melissa went on to their respective high schools, and did not really stay in touch until junior year. The two got back in touch in 2013. Over the course of the summer of 2013, the two became "best friends." Best friends who would go on ice cream dates, movie dates, and have long conversations until the early hours of the morning, and occasionally say that they love each other. "Best friends." Some would say that it took Anthony way too long to ask Melissa to be his girlfriend, but NOT Melissa. Finally on November 25, 2013, while watching Gossip Girl at Melissa's family's house on Guest Drive, Anthony asked Melissa "want to make him the happiest guy in the world and finally be his girlfriend" . . .
Since then; they graduated high school together, started college together, navigated dating in college, graduated, supported one another through grad school, and moved to Hoboken to start their lives together. They spent three incredible years in Hoboken before settling down on the Jersey Shore.
THE PROPOSAL STORY
"On October 21, 2022, Anthony FINALLY popped the question (Yes, the day Taylor Swift's new album came out - Kudos, Anthony! 👏🏻 👏🏻). We had just finished a lovely lunch in Hunter, NY after a ziplining excursion. Anthony suggested that we see a nearby waterfall. I, who suspected the proposal was going to happen during lunch (if it was going to happen at all), said, "sure" as I watched Anthony sign the bill for lunch, no ring box in a pocket in sight. Once we were at the waterfall, Anthony got down on one knee and FINALLY asked me to marry him. Tears immediately flowed, we FaceTimed our parents, and the rest is history."
