BRIDE SAYS, "I DO" TO RED, YELLOW, AND BLUE IN SOUTH SALEM, NY | BROOKE & JASON

It's Fourth of July weekend here in the US, and though, we are getting into the American Spirit, we are too full of gorgeous colorful wedding inspo to skip over today's post. Instead of blogging about your traditional Independence Day flowers, we are giving you all the details about how Brooke said, "I Do" to Red, Yellow, and Blue! Designing the details of your wedding day begins with picking colors. With so many options to choose from, it can be hard to narrow down your list! Determining the right color combination from the start can help aide in the decision-making process—from décor to bridesmaids' dresses to whatever you wish! A color says a lot about a person. Your preference for a specific color over others unveils your personality and characteristics. This was evident when Brooke revealed that her favorite color was [red]. She was passionate and energetic and was not NOT afraid to take risks! If happiness were a color, it'd be [yellow]. And, since this was about to be the happiest day of Brooke's life, she wanted to incorporate it! Of course, not every couple wants a yellow-centric color palette—but that does not mean that you can't find a way to utilize it (especially if you're drawn to it)! For an extra measure of color, we snuck in POPs of [orange] which suited the couple perfectly! Those who like orange are sociable, open-minded, and are always up for an adventure! And, boy, are these two ever! This couple has traveled 35,000 miles, been to 29 states, 20 national parks, and a sweet honeymoon to Spain! Lastly, [blue]. Blue has an obvious connection with weddings. It has its own place alongside something old, borrowed, and new which means that you will most likely involve the hue somewhere! For some brides, blue supersedes their vision, and for others it accents their arrangements subtly. However, this time, blue was NOT incorporated into their florals but into the Groom's wedding day attire! Jason demonstrated the best of blue wearing an classic electric blue suit! The color paired so prettily with a vast array of shades in [red, yellow, and hints of orange]. To be honest, I did not know how all these colors would marry together but they did! Needless to say this was a fun couple to work with and they are a match made in heaven! Congratulations Brooke and Jason!

THE LOVE STORY

Brooke and Jason met when they were twenty-one and twenty-six years old. Their story began on OKCupid, an online dating platform where their paths crossed serendipitously. What made their connection even more remarkable was that Jason recognized Brooke's sister in one of her profile pictures. It turned out that Brooke's sister was dating Jason's best friend, Dan at the time. In a twist of fate, Dan reached out to Brooke, informing her that his friend Jason was interested in asking her out on a date. Their first date took place at the charming Billards Hall, and from the moment they met, it was even more evident that they had a special connection. Conversation flowed effortlessly, and there was an undeniable chemistry between the two. They decided to continue seeing each other, and their relationship grew strong and stronger. As time went on, Jason focused on completing his Ph.D. while Brooke pursued her dream of becoming a healthcare provider. Together, they embarked on a journey in Brooklyn, sharing not only their dreams but their lives.

During their time in Brooklyn, they made a significant addition to their family – a cat named Tucker, who quickly became the love of their lives. Tucker brought joy and warmth into their home and he became a cherished part of their journey together. After both achieving their academic goals, they decided to make a big move, this time to New Jersey. Little did they know that this transition would coincide with the start of a global pandemic. Despite the challenging circumstances, their love continued to thrive, and they navigated the uncertainties of quarantine together.

THE PROPOSAL STORY

In February 2020, just before the world changed, Jason proposed to Brooke on a snow-covered mountaintop in upstate New York. It was a magical moment that foreshadowed the adventure that awaited the two. Shortly after their engagement, the pandemic forced them into an unexpected hiatus, but they made the most of it by planning something extraordinary. With Brooke's lifelong dream of exploring the country, they decided to hit the open road. Their cross-country road trip took the two to 29 states, 20 national parks, 13 MLB stadiums, and covered an impressive 40,000 miles. The journey allowed them to create lasting memories and deepened their connection as they explored the diverse landscapes and cultures of our beautiful country. Upon their return home, they found themselves on the cusp of another-life changing event their wedding. A NOTE FROM THE BRIDE "After nearly a decade together, we stood before family and friends and exchanged vows, celebrating the love that had grown stronger over the years.
