A SUMMER WEDDING AT BILL MILLER'S CASTLE IN BRANFORD, CT | VICTORIA & SEAN
Have you ever planned a wedding in just a few short days? This couple has. July 15, 2023, looked a lot different than Victoria or Sean could have ever imagined. Set to take place in Ludlow, Vermont, a town made up of 2,100 people; had experienced some of the worst historic flooding in the state. Heavy rains caused massive amounts of damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure forcing Victoria and Sean to relocate.
The pressure was on but nothing could stand in their way! With four days to plan, @lightscameradjs was hired in just two days! Not only did @ty_redes serve as a guest but he doubled as a videographer that day! Not to mention, @averileemua and @paigely0n worked wonders in 87° heat without melted makeup or a stitch of hair out of place! As for me, I was ready to hit the open road with a van full of florals wherever I was told to be that day! So exactly, where did the wedding take place?! Victoria and Sean had a small ceremony at Chaffinch Island Park in Guilford, CT and headed to Bill Miller's Castle afterwards to celebrate!
BILL MILLER'S CASTLE BACKSTORY
For those of you who know Victoria, her family owns Bill Miller's Castle. Located near the picturesque shoreline of Branford, CT, Bill Miller's Castle was originally built as horse born in the 1880's. In the mid 60's, Bill Miller envisioned transforming the old barn into the exquisite castle it is today! Not only is it a magnificent landmark, but it has served as an elegant venue where many weddings and events take place. Beautiful stonework, exposed beams, cathedral ceilings, stained glass windows, and Medieval furniture creates a beautiful backdrop for picture taking! Not to mention, it would be the place where the staff of Bill Miller's Castle would come back [after having the weekend off], just to help Victoria and Sean celebrate! (Let's just say the staff there is pretty amazing)! All the vendors rolled with the punches and it turned out to be the most magical day!
THE LOVE STORY
Sean and Victoria met in middle school and have been best friends ever since. After collage and about 10 years of being such close friends, their relationship grew into something more. Ever since their first kiss, they never looked back and the rest was fate!
