Often brides lean heavily on sweet traditional blooms but Alyson wanted something a little savory and different! This beautiful rustic wedding was filled with clever hand-made touches, loads of wild flowers, and fresh herbs in revitalizing and harmonious green hues. Alyson used sprightly colored flowers for texture, invigorating fragrance, and charm which had her guests gawking. Not only are wedding flowers for natural splendor, but when paired with herbs, they have sentimental value. Like rosemary for remembrance, lavender for devotion, and thyme for courage, and valour. When added to a bouquet, lavender is pretty fragrant and is worth gazing at and sniffing for hours. Rosemary is an excellent choice when height is required, and thyme is wonderfully paired with just about any flower! Alyson and Ryan's wedding was tuned into nature and completely down to earth. Surrounded by peace and tranquility, guests wined and dined next to clear glass prisms, white candles, loose pine cones, and potted herbs. Not only do fresh herbs smell amazing but when these botanical's are snuggled next to a bunch of flowers, they are aesthetically pleasing too! I've learned over the years that these blooming beauties make just as much of a statement as a bunch of peonies do. Not to mention, they are budget friendly too! Adding herbs to an alternative arrangement or a loose bouquet makes for great fillers (who knew?) Needles to say, Alyson looked stunning clutching onto her bouquet. After all, who says you ONLY have to carry flowers on your wedding day?!
