A RAINY WEDDING DAY AT THE LITCHFIELD INN, IN LITCHFIELD, CT | LAURA & MIKE

"Alexa play Alanis Morissette" . . . 🎶It's like rraaaaaaiiiiiiin, on your wedding day🎶 There's no doubt that anything could go wrong on your wedding day and after learning the hard way as a vendor back in 2018 during Stephanie & Scott's Nor'easter nuptials, I now hope for the best but expect the worst. This time around, I came prepared with umbrellas in hand and rainboots in tow. I've learned to adjust quickly at a moments notice to such situations with flowers on the go. Let's get real about inclement weather. It could happen to anyone. The question is, what should you and your partner do if rain is on the horizon? Don't panic! Preparing for rain is no easy task and while it is never anyone's first choice for a wedding day forecast, the rain will be a passing blip with a solid backup plan. Talk to your vendors and prepare for your team to break out the umbrellas and pitch the tent! Lastly, whether it drizzles or downpours there is no need to let rain ruin your wedding day! The week of Laura and Mike's wedding, the forecast showed clear and sunny skies but this rain shower came as a complete surprise! Event planner Lauren Barnes from Lauren Bee Events said it best on Instagram: "Laura and Mike's tented wedding reception at the Litchfield Inn was planned perfectly with every detail in place. Then came the rain, and plans quickly changed. The couple and the vendors were quick to adapt and we figured it out as we went." Everyone stepped up to the plate to make Laura and Mike's day as perfect as possible. Not even a bit of rain could dampen their day and 26NorthStudios was there to capture the most magical rainy day! By the way, the bride looked absolutely S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G, I must say! "Alexa cue rainy day wedding jokes" . . . Why did the wedding guests all bring umbrellas? Because the forecast was I do, I do, I do, I do, I do . . . What did the wedding planner say when it started raining on the outdoor ceremony? Where's rain check? . . . What do you call rainy wedding day? A wetting. "Alexa, that's enough dry humor for today!" 😉 *NO Pun Intended!*

specialty flowers and fillers that were utilized in these wedding arrangements were frittillaria meleagris, lathryrus white wedding, muscari carola blue, alertie peonies, bridal shower peonies, aazur white ranunculus, tulip lily white liberstar, veronica clea june, tweedia, delphinium, lady's mantle, baby blue eucalyptus, curly willow, oak branches, pistacia, delphinium sky waltz, alchem robustica, armeniacum muscari, and avalanche, biscous, wedding, and white naomi roses
