It's always a joy to work with new photographers and when I'm asked to collaborate, I rarely pass up the opportunity. Instead, I embrace the chance to work with new artists because it's helps grow my business successfully. It's important to create goals around collaboration partnerships and to set time aside to achieve them. It's easy to forget to do this when we are occupied with other things but I can assure you, with consistency, you will create new relationships with other vendors and see major improvements in what you are doing. Collaborations are great fun but they are also very empowering. A [collaboration] or joint venture is the process of working with someone to produce something. It's not an ideal that limits us artists but one that propels us personally and professionally. Some say that there is little in the photogenic world that is fresh or new but when we open our minds and create together the possibilities are endless. Dreams do come true! I was elated when Sandra Szebenyik reached out to me. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her and her bubbly personality! The inspiration behind the photo shoot was about fashion and self expression. It was amazing to work with someone who is as passionate about fashion as I am. Sandra was able to test new techniques such as posing and lighting but what I loved most about her was her inner floral artistry. Sandra grouped together ideas and came up with a color scheme. I built two floral installs based off of her creativity! We met on set in her private studio and now the rest is history! MEET SANDRA SZEBENYIK FROM SANDRA SZEBENYIK PHOTOGRAPHY "I started shooting photography for fun when I was sixteen or seventeen. I quickly realized that I loved people, fashion, and photographing things around me. My first internship was in Hungary. I worked in a studio in Budapest and it was super amazing! I got a taste for fashion, product photography and music video recording. The second studio I worked in, had a totally different feeling. I photographed kids during school and in the studio I would shoot families. I loved each new experience. It's was the best of both worlds, really. After moving to New York, I was able to pursue my dreams. I worked with multiple brands and global modeling agencies. Shortly after, I fell in love, moved back to the suburbs and took up family lifestyle photography. After I become a mom, a lot of things changed. I started focusing on motherhood and family portrait sessionsstill do to this day! I opened my studio in April 2022 which allowed me to get creative and try something new. For instance, I enjoy creative concept and fashion forward photo shoots. I love the balance between the two . . ." THE CONCEPT BEHIND THE COLLABORATION "I always wanted to do a shoot with floral installs. Flowers make me happy and give the backdrop a little extra something. I love fashion and I wanted to incorporate an authentic artistic feel into it. Having three different sets was a great opportunity to showcase how you can utilize just one and make it look different. My friend who is a ballerina modeled for the first set. I loved how delicate she looked with all the floral's around her. The maternity portion of the photo shoot was a mix of fashion and art, especially when we were able to incorporate Loreta's beautiful head pieces. The flowers made the photos POP and we used tulle robes to make it super whimsical and dreamy! Lastly, I wanted a more edgy vibe for our third model which I think we were able to achieve using different outfits!" -Sandra Szebenyik

specialty flowers and fillers that were utilized in these collaboration arrangements were baby's breath, pittoporum, italian rusucs, light peach ranunculus, light blue muscari, tweedia, light blue delphinium, scabiosa, double pink tulips, snowberries, and cymbidium orchids
